Prepare For Sunday
Imagine you were invited to go to an amusement park for the day. What would you do to prepare? You’d make sure you knew how to get there, and that there was sufficient gas in the car. You might check the time the park opened so you could be first in line for the best rides. You’d think about the food you wanted to take for snacks and where you’d eat your meals. You might even check out the map of the park and lay out the best course to take in order to ride as many rides as possible. The better you were prepared for the adventure, the more likely thing would go well and you’d be able to make the most of your time. Preparing for important things makes a big difference.
The same goes for the Sabbath day. If we take a little time to prepare our home and ourselves for the Sabbath, it would more likely be a “delight” for us. Christ said “The Sabbath was made for man.” It truly is a gift that Heavenly Father gave to us. We have been invited by God to take a break from some of the noise and craziness of the world and to spend the day worshipping, praying, pondering, serving, spending time with family and attending church. For us to get the most of what Heavenly Father wants for us on the Sabbath, we need to prepare. This little visual checklist can help you prepare your home and family for the Sabbath. Enjoy!
