"Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God" Don't Worry be Happy
Dont Worry, Be Happy
So many times we hear about how the Lord is aware of our needs and He knows how to take care of us. We are told to cast our burdens upon the Lord and He will sustain us. Yet, as the old saying goes, it’s easy to borrow worry from tomorrow. This scripture reminds us that we should trust in the Lord, and let the worries of tomorrow go. We here at GospelHomeStudyPackets.com receive strength and comfort when we read Matthew 6:33 (Seek ye first the Kingdom of God) along side Alma 37:36-37.
36. Yea, and cry unto God for all thy support; yea, let all thy doings be unto the Lord, and whithersoever thou goest let it be in the Lord; yea, let all thy thoughts be directed unto the Lord; yea, let the affections of thy heart be placed upon the Lord forever.
37. Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.
So, tonight, tell the Lord all your concerns. Turn them all over to him and let him think through them while you sleep. Then you can rise in the morning with a full heart, full of purpose, full of vision; for all else will be added unto you.
