"Leap for Joy"

Luke 6:23 says that we should “rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven” The Gospel brings to us many reasons to leap for joy! Acts 3:1-10 tells of a man who leaped several times after being healed. This activity is based on leaping for joy, showing happiness at all the wonderful things we have because of our membership in Christ’s church.


Tip: Cut out the lily pads and place around the room, home, down a hallway, or even outside! Have family members leap from one blessing to another repeating the words on the lily pads which give them reason to leap for joy. On the lily pads with no words, family members make up their own gospel-centered reason to leap.


Tip: To save on ink, print the black and white lily pads on white paper. Your family can draw reasons to leap on them.


Tip: To save on ink, you can consider printing the lily pads on green construction paper. Cut the construction paper down to 8.5 x 11 inches and use as you would printer paper.
