"Our Home is Sacred"
There are many different things that we can do in our home to help it be more like the temple. This packet contains items your family may or may not want in your home.
Tip: Choose a home that may represent your home. Place it a the top of your learning space, (a table, bulletin board, white board). Place the word-strip “Our Sacred Home” under it. Place the thumbs-up and thumbs-down illustrations under the word strip. Use the pictures to represent things we want or don’t want in our home. If it is something we want, place it under the thumbs up illustration. If it’s something we don’t want, place it under the thumbs down illustration.
Tip: After the picture sort, discuss why you chose some things and not others to be in the home.
Tip: Use the coloring sheet to allow family members to draw a picture of your sacred home. Consider drawing some of the things you’d like in your home. Maybe there are things you want that weren’t included in the picture sort.
Tip: Talk about how you want your home to feel, and also how it does feel! Acknowledge the good choices being made which help your home be a joyous, sacred place.
Tip: Use the black and white pages as coloring pages.
